Meet Sydney

Hi. I’m Sydney. It’s nice to meet you.

When I decided to become a nurse, I made a promise to myself to put patients first. Working in the ICU was an exciting and strengthening experience. And the longer I served there, the deeper I questioned the impact of what I was asked to do.

That questioning led me on a journey to discover other ways of healing.

I sought an education in Integrative Health Studies at the California Institute of Integral Studies because I knew there was more to life than being alive - and I knew I cared about others experiencing life deeply. There I learned how to walk with people toward a life that reflects their values, challenges the status quo, and recognizes the innate healing power within each person.

I also reflected on my work as a nurse and saw that critical care can lead to challenges after survival. These challenges can be so severe that those suffering can lose their sense of self. To change that, I became a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach and built a program specifically for those recovering from acute illness.

Now it’s your turn to thrive.

My mission is to support adults recovering from an acute illness to feel well in their bodies, feel well in their minds, and live with a full spirit. Living with vitality in mind, body, and spirit is living deeply well.

My practice as an ICU nurse grants me a unique understanding of your experience as a patient. When you talk about the noises, sounds, smells, and feelings, I get it.

I also know that it takes time to truly return to yourself after an ICU event.

Additionally, I am trained in guided imagery and can help bring forward the wisdom you already hold. Through my education as a nurse and integrative health provider, I can help you reconnect to your body and learn to thrive.

In my off-time I enjoy adventuring with my dog, finding new hikes, and enjoying time with those closest to me.
